Stedin is looking for Future Makers! Are you a young professional who wants to commit to the energy transition in the Netherlands? Do you want to challenge yourself, expand your knowledge and do you really want to make a contribution and achieve results together? Then apply for the Future Makers traineeship and develop yourself within the Stedin organization!
About Stedin
Stedin is a network company in the Netherlands that is responsible for managing and maintaining the electricity and gas network in large parts of the country. Stedin is committed to a sustainable world. They play an important role in the energy transition, for example by stimulating sustainable energy sources such as wind and solar energy and supporting the transition to a more sustainable energy system.
What will you do as a Future Maker trainee?
During the two-year traineeship, you will learn everything about the energy transition and the role that Stedin plays in it. You will start together with a group of 10 trainees. You will work on various assignments, follow an intensive program, help each other achieve personal goals and receive a lot of personal attention and coaching. You will work individually on four assignments, each lasting 6 months. You will get to know the company well, build a huge network of valuable colleagues and will be of immediate added value to Stedin during the trainee program.
For this program we are looking for WO master graduates. A technical study is not a requirement. The program is different for every trainee. You have influence on the choice of projects, assignments and extra activities that you want to do. Not all assignments will match your study and that is not necessary. The program is set up to develop you in different areas within the organization and you are stimulated to learn new things and develop yourself in the full breadth.
What is expected of you?
- You have a university master's degree. You want to develop and challenge yourself on a professional and personal level.
- You are eager to learn, assertive and take ownership of your own Future Maker trajectory.
- You are open to collaboration and the personal guidance that the program offers.
- You have recently graduated in the Netherlands or in your home country and you are at the beginning of your career.
- You speak Dutch (B2 or higher). The language of instruction at Stedin is Dutch. If you want to improve your Dutch further, language lessons can be offered.
- You are available 40 hours per week. The organization is flexible but working days are from Monday to Friday.
Important to know
- The program starts on September 1, 2025.
- The traineeship lasts 2 years and upon acceptance you will receive a contract for 2.5 years.
- If you are selected, you will receive a paid contract for the duration of the traineeship. If the traineeship was a success for both parties, you will be invited to apply for a permanent position in the company.
- Stedin's head office is located in Rotterdam, but it is possible that you will carry out an assignment at a different location (Randstad, Utrecht or Zeeland). All locations are easily accessible by public transport.
