Speeddate for Workplace Support Specialist

Are you the "spider in the web" who enjoys assisting others and has a knack for tech? At TBI SSC, you make sure the ICT experience runs smoothly. You are the first point of contact on-site, you resolve technical issues, and you ensure that hardware like laptops and phones are delivered up-to-date to our clients. With your technical skills and communication talent, you keep customers happy and ensure our services are delivered at a high standard.

About TBI SSC ICT

TBI SSC-ICT is the dedicated ICT partner for TBI. We provide the technology behind building and maintaining our living environment. TBI consists of 21 companies with nearly 7,000 employees throughout the Netherlands.

Because we have extensive knowledge of the construction, engineering, and ICT sectors, we are the permanent advisor for all TBI companies regarding digitalization. Our work can be seen all over the Netherlands: from small local initiatives to large, high-profile projects for both the government and private companies.

The Role of Workplace Support Specialist

The Shared Service Center (SSC) of TBI ensures that ICT works perfectly for all TBI companies. As a Workplace Support Specialist, you are the face of ICT on-site. While the Servicedesk provides remote support, you help colleagues directly at their own workstations.

You manage everything regarding hardware: from setting up and issuing laptops and phones to giving clear instructions to the user. Thanks to your technical knowledge and proactive approach, you resolve malfunctions immediately so everyone can get back to work quickly.

Key aspects of this role:

  • Hardware & Support: You prepare laptops, tablets, and phones, distribute them, and ensure the inventory administration is accurate.
  • Problem Solving: You independently handle malfunctions and requests. If you cannot solve something yourself, you route it to the right specialist.
  • Customer-Oriented Advice: You are regularly present at various locations. You act as the point of contact for the customer and think along about how ICT can make their work easier.
  • Improvement & Knowledge: You identify recurring problems and suggest solutions. You keep your professional knowledge up-to-date and share it with your team.
  • Security: You implement the security policy to ensure all systems remain secure and business continuity is guaranteed.

Who are you?

  • You enjoy solving hardware and software problems.
  • You are social and get genuine energy from helping people move forward.
  • You work accurately and proactively look for tasks and solutions.
  • Being meticulous and service-oriented is part of who you are.

Requirements

  • You have a valid residence permit or receive temporary EU protection (e.g., for Ukrainians).
  • You have mastered the Dutch language at a B2 level.
  • You have an MBO 4 (ICT) or a Bachelor’s degree in ICT.
  • You have experience working with ticketing systems (such as ITIL 4 and ServiceNow).
  • Having a driver’s license is a plus.

Offer

SSC ICT offers you a one-year employment contract for 32-40 hours per week. If you perform well, you and your manager will discuss a possible permanent contract after the first year.
