Hoogwegt

Mentoring program Hoogwegt & Refugee Talent Hub

Hoogwegt organizes, together with the Refugee Talent Hub, a mentoring program for talents with a refugee background. Many refugees in the Netherlands are eager to start working. However, not everyone manages to find a job. As a refugee within The Netherlands, you may often have a small network, know little about the Dutch labour market and find it difficult to meet employers.

Via the Hoogwegt refugee mentoring program, you as a mentee will be supported by a mentor in multiple aspects, including creating/improving your CV and guidance on how to create a professional LinkedIn page to present yourself better on the Dutch labour market. Are you unsure as to which steps you need to take in your career? Do you want to expand your network to the Dutch Dairy sector? Understand on how to commercially, technically or logistically add value to products? Or are you going to start a technical and/or commercial study soon? Then sign up for the new Hoogwegt mentor program!

About Hoogwegt

Hoogwegt is the world’s largest privately owned dairy ingredient provider. It is a family company who greatly values a diverse workforce and wants to operate in a sustainable way. Hoogwegt is an important hub between producers and processors in the dairy industry.

Founded in the Netherlands in 1965, Hoogwegt has grown to become the world’s largest independent supplier of dairy products and ingredients, active in over 130 countries. Thanks to the global network, 55 years of experience and a team of commercial, technical and logistics experts, Hoogwegt adds vision and value to the business by providing high quality products, real-time market intelligence, smart logistics services and tailor-made risk management solutions.

About the mentor program

Hoogwegt offers a professional mentoring program and is therefore looking for mentees who would like to reduce their distance from the labour market and/or would like to be helped in their search for a possible job. In the mentoring process, Hoogwegt professionals are linked to you for a period of six months. During these six months you and your mentor will work on the following topics:

  • What is your potential fit with the labour market looking at your current status and work/study history?

  • What are your talents, knowledge and skills?

  • What do you want to achieve on the Dutch labour market? Which route do you want to take to get there?

In addition, we also work in a practical way with, for example, improving your CV, guidance in creating a professional LinkedIn page and preparing and planning network conversations to get a better presentation of yourself on the Dutch labour market.
