Meet-and-greet: work experience within Assurance

What are the right qualifications for this position?

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting or a related field, such as Economics, Finance & Control, or Mathematics;
  • Affinity with numbers and IT;
  • Fluent command of the English language, both written and spoken;
  • Permit to work in the Netherlands;
  • Willingness to learn the Dutch language;
  • Willingness to gain your Registered Accountant title in the long term;


What will you be doing in this position?
When starting at KPMG, you will begin your role as an audit trainee and will have a personal buddy. This will be a colleague from KPMG who will help you along, so you always have someone to assist you.

One of your tasks will be to examine financial accounts, such as annual figures and reports. You will understand the financial health of organizations and are guaranteed a varied set of tasks. One day, you might be preparing, executing, or successfully completing challenging assignments for our (inter)national clients. The next day, you will contribute to assessing reports in the field of sustainability, also known as Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG). In your role, you take an extra step beyond traditional accountancy and contribute to shaping a sustainable future for both companies and society. 

Your development never stops! With the Audit Academy, you have access to multiple training sessions to effectively carry out your work in the audit practice.

About the meet-and-greet
If you’re selected for this programme, you’ll meet KPMG recruiters and hiring managers at the meet-and-greet. This will take place on December 5 from 10.00 - 13.00 hrs. in Amstelveen. If there’s a match on both sides, you’ll be invited for a follow up interview. This interview will take place during the week of December 9th. Making an assessment is part of the job application process. You’ll receive more information about this at the meet-and-greet. To prepare you for the meet-and-greet, Refugee Talent Hub gives a mandatory online preparation session on November 21st from 10.30 - 11.30 hrs.
