Broader network, better future in the labor market

Following previous successful programs, Refugee Talent Hub and TwynstraGudde are launching a new mentorship program starting September 25, 2026, for a period of four months. During this mentorship program, you will be paired with an advisor/consultant from TwynstraGudde, who will serve as your mentor for four months. Throughout this period, you and your mentor will work together to increase your chances on the labor market.

About TwynstraGudde

TwynstraGudde primarily advises the government on many of the major and urgent themes of our time. These include safety, diversity, mobility, digitalization, sustainability, energy, finance, and health. TwynstraGudde aims to make a direct impact on (future) societal and economic developments. Diversity and inclusion are important themes within TwynstraGudde, across various areas. TwynstraGudde strives to ensure that everyone can be themselves, feel at home, and have equal opportunities within the company.

About the mentorship program

During this mentorship program, you will be paired with a professional from TwynstraGudde, who will serve as your mentor for four months. Throughout this period, you and your mentor will work together to enhance your chances on the job market. Your mentor will share their knowledge, skills, and professional network with you. Additionally, your mentor can provide personal advice, and you can turn to them with questions about working in the Netherlands and everything related to it. The mentor is eager to share experience and knowledge with you. At the same time, the mentor can, of course, also learn a great deal from you. Equality and reciprocity are important values ​​in this process. In addition to guidance towards employment, the personal meetings provide valuable insights into each other's cultures, perspectives, and values.

Furthermore, there are three in-person meetings and two online check-ins where you learn more about each other, work in general, and TwynstraGudde in particular.

Important dates (mandatory attendance):

  •  (In-person) Kick-off: Friday, September 25, 10:00 - 13:00 (at Refugee Talent Hub – Boost Amsterdam)
  •  First (online) mentee check-in: Friday, October 23, 11:00 - 12:00 (online)
  •  (In-person) Job Application Skills Interim Event: Friday, November 6, 09:30 - 12:00 (At the TwynstraGudde headquarters in Amersfoort)
  •  Second (online) mentee check-in: Friday, December 11, 11:00 - 12:00 (online)
  •  (In-person) Closing event: Friday, January 15, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM (at the TwynstraGudde headquarters in Amersfoort)

**Travel expenses will be reimbursed for the plenary activities (kick-off, intermediate event, and closing event).

 What do we expect from you?

  •  You have a status or a W-document.
  •  You have a command of Dutch at least at B1 level - You can demonstrate this.
  •  You are motivated to participate. You make time to attend the mandatory activities. In addition, you make time once a week (or at least twice a month) for a meeting with your mentor.
  •  You have an open, proactive attitude, are eager to learn, and want to share information with your mentor.
  •  Mandatory attendance at the central meetings (maximum of 1 absence allowed).
  •  You have a computer (with a camera) and internet access; this is sometimes necessary for the video calls.
  •  Preference is given to candidates residing in Amsterdam.
