About the role
What is expected from the Proposal Associate?
The Proposal Associate complements the Dutch Bid & Proposal Management Team in their revenue-generating efforts, by ensuring support to the Bid Manager and the field (VAT = virtual account team) in bid pursuits, ensuring effectiveness and competitiveness, and supports the team in diverse back-office activities.
Working with the Bid Manager and the VAT (Sales and Services Account Executives, alongside Solution Advisors, Value Advisors, Partners, Renewals -, Legal and Finance teams), the Proposal Associate interacts with all customer facing roles.
The Proposal Associate supports the Bid Manager in organizing and monitoring the proposal preparation by assigning work packages, setting the timeline, providing templates, assisting in answering general questions about the company, and/or formatting documents according to the SAP branding. Besides proposals, the Proposal Associate additionally supports maintaining relevant document libraries and boilerplate repositories.
The Proposal Associate offers Low Touch Support across all sales segments:
- Supports the Bid Manager to manage bids during the entire bid process up to the timely dispatch to the customer or the presentation of the offer
- Supports the Bid Manager with the planning, execution, and monitoring of bids
- Prepares, creates, updates, and customizes standard content and materials like sales templates
- Takes care of company information content completion
- Utilizes digital tools to scale the service
Learning and Development Opportunities:
Learn more about the project - and bid management. Get an insight into how RFx's are processed and bid teams are managed. You will be working using SAP's sales methodology and experience firsthand all solutions, departments involved.
You will feel like sitting in the first row of the SAP theater.
What we ask from you?
- You have a status in the Netherlands
- You are able to join the live meet-and-greet at the SAP Netherlands office on October 14th from 10:00 – 13:00 as part of the selection process.
- You are available to join the online preparation session on October 9th, 9:30-10:30
- You are available to work full-time (40 hours per week) from December 1st
- You are able to work from the SAP office in ‘s-Hertogenbosch for at least three days a week
- You have excellent oral and written communication skills in English (mandatory) and Dutch (preferable, not necessary)
- You are a detail-oriented individual who is able to ensure accuracy and precision in your work, and you have strong editing skills to refine and polish proposals
- You are able to review proposals to ensure accuracy and completeness
- You are able to take care of RFP (Request for Proposal) requirements and guidelines
- Experience in the software/high-tech industry is a nice to have
- You have the Strong ability to multitask and prioritize requests, managing multiple tasks, projects
- You are Customer focused
