Work Experience for Digital Intelligence and Technical Talent

We are looking for candidates for the following positions:

1. Digital Intelligence Specialist

What will you do?

  • Conduct competitive research to strengthen the position of our digital products
  • Translate customer feedback into user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team
  • Build simple dashboards in Excel and Power BI to track usage and results
  • Support discovery sessions, backlog refinement, demos, and preparing release notes
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and subject matter experts in an agile environment

Team:
You will be part of the Digital Intelligence team: a multidisciplinary and international group focused on digital innovation and process optimization at Arcadis. You will collaborate with colleagues based in our Amersfoort or Amsterdam office.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
  • 1–3 years of experience in product, data, or business analysis, or relevant academic/project experience
  • Comfortable working with Excel and Power BI
  • Curious, eager to learn, and quick to master new topics
  • Communicative, proactive, and a team player
  • Enthusiastic about new ways of working, including an AI-first approach
  • Good command of English (at least B2 level); Dutch is a plus
  • You will be based in Amersfoort or Amsterdam

2. Structural Engineer

What will you do?

  • Create structural designs and perform technical calculations for buildings
  • Work on high-profile projects such as The Cube House Amsterdam, Johan Cruijff ArenA, or the Rijksmuseum
  • Use modern design software (such as BIM/Revit) and gain experience with parametric and circular construction

Team:
You’ll join a team of structural engineers and modelers who work together on mono- and multidisciplinary projects. You’ll receive plenty of guidance and opportunities for personal development.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering, or a Bachelor’s in Architecture (construction), possibly supplemented with HTI Concrete/Steel Engineer
  • Knowledge of parametric and automated design, BIM/Revit, and specialist calculations
  • Knowledge of Eurocode for structural and construction safety is an advantage
  • Interest in sustainable construction, innovation, and digitalization
  • Proactive, communicative, and a team player

3. Asset Management

What will you do?

  • Support the management, inspection, and maintenance of infrastructure such as bridges, tunnels, and locks, for example on projects like the Maeslantkering, IJsselmeer area, or Zuidas Amsterdam
  • Analyze data, conduct risk analyses, and contribute to innovative solutions such as digital twins and sustainable energy supply
  • Assist in advising on and optimizing the maintenance of civil engineering structures

Team:
You’ll be part of the Asset Management team, a close-knit and dynamic group of junior and senior specialists, where collaboration and personal growth are key.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Built Environment, or a related field
  • Analytical, accurate, and eager to learn
  • Independent, proactive, communicative, and a team player
  • Interest in sustainability and digitalization within infrastructure

4. Electrical Engineer

What will you do?

  • Contribute to the design and realization of electrical installations for infrastructure projects, such as the renovation of the IJ Tunnel, charging infrastructure for public transport, or energy solutions for international projects like the Fraser River Tunnel in Vancouver
  • Perform calculations, support systems engineering, and prepare technical documentation
  • Contribute ideas for sustainable energy solutions and the adoption of new technologies

Team:
You’ll be part of a team of electrical and mechanical engineers, working together on national and international projects. The team is multidisciplinary, open, and eager to learn.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field
  • Affinity with or experience in infrastructure and construction projects
  • Independent, proactive, communicative, and a team player

What do we expect from you?

  • You have a refugee background
  • Valid residence permit (refugee status in the Netherlands)
  • Proficiency in both English (at least B2 level) and Dutch (preferably at least B1 level) for effective verbal and written communication
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field
  • Willingness to travel to Amersfoort, Rotterdam, Arnhem, Zwolle, or Den Bosch
  • Results-oriented, eager to learn, and enjoy working in a team

Relevant experience:
A background in electrical engineering (high or low voltage), civil engineering, civil engineering & management, urban development, or risk calculation in infrastructure or environmental risk is an advantage.
