Women mentoring program for financial/administrative/legal professionals

Kickstart your career in the Netherlands with the EY Women Mentoring Program, in collaboration with Refugee Talent Hub. During four months, you will receive guidance from an EY mentor to improve your CV, LinkedIn profile, interview skills and professional network. This program is designed for women with a refugee background and helps you navigate the Dutch labor market. There are limited places available: apply now!

Introduction

Finding a job can be difficult. Maybe you don't know many people, don't know much about how things work in the Netherlands, or find it difficult to meet employers. That's why EY and Refugee Talent Hub are organizing this mentoring program for you. There are only a few spots available, so sign up quickly for the EY mentoring program!

What does the mentoring program entail?

For approximately 4 months, you will receive support from an EY mentor. Together with your mentor, you will learn about steps you can take to find a job in the Netherlands. At the end of the program, you will have worked with your mentor on:

  •  A good resume
  •  A LinkedIn profile
  •  A short presentation about yourself (pitch)
  •  Writing a motivation letter
  •  Practicing job interviews
  •  Expanding your network
  •  Knowledge about how the Dutch labor market works

You will receive a certificate at the end of the program if you have actively participated.

During the mentoring program, your mentor will share his or her knowledge, skills and network with you. But the mentor can also learn a lot from you! You will also meet other participants and learn more about work and EY.

The mentoring program is not a full-time training; nor does it guarantee you a job at EY. You will meet with your mentor approximately once a week for about 4 months. During these meetings, you will work on your professional development, which will increase both your confidence and your skills to find suitable work in the Netherlands. You will also participate in events and online meetings with other mentors and mentees.

About EY

EY is a global organization that provides Assurance, Consulting, Strategy and Transactions, and Tax services to solve our clients’ toughest challenges and build a better global economy. EY also helps them meet regulatory requirements, keep investors informed, and serve the needs of all their stakeholders. In a rapidly changing world, EY provides the support they need to be effective today and create long-term value for tomorrow.

Women are still underrepresented in the Dutch labour market. About half of women in the Netherlands are not financially independent. This percentage is even higher for women with a refugee background. A large number of these women would like to work, but sometimes it is not easy to make this possible.
