Introduction

Finding a job can be tough. You might not know many people, have little knowledge about how things work in the Netherlands, or find it hard to meet employers. That's why EY and Refugee Talent Hub are organizing this mentor program for you. There are only a few spots available, so sign up quickly for the EY mentor program!

What does the mentor program involve?

Over the course of almost 5 months, you'll receive support from a mentor at EY. Together with your mentor, you'll learn about steps you can take to find a job in the Netherlands. By the end of the program, you and your mentor will have worked on:

  • Creating a strong CV
  • Building a LinkedIn profile
  • Crafting a brief self-introduction (pitch)
  • Writing a compelling cover letter
  • Practicing job interviews
  • Expanding your professional network
  • Understanding the Dutch job market

You will receive a certificate at the end of the program, if you have actively participated.

During the mentor program, your mentor will share their knowledge, skills, and network with you. But your mentor can also learn a lot from you! You'll also meet other participants and learn more about working and about EY.

The mentor program is not full-time training; nor does it give you a guarantee to find a job EY. You'll talk with your mentor about once a week for about 5 months. During these conversations, you'll work on your professional development which will increase both your confidence and your skills to find suitable work in the Netherlands. You'll also participate in events and online meetings with other mentors and mentees.

About EY

EY is a worldwide organization providing Assurance, Consulting, Strategy and Transactions, and Tax services that help solve their client's toughest challenges and build a better working world. Through their four service lines EY helps their clients capitalize on transformative opportunities. EY also helps them fulfill regulatory requirements, keep investors informed, and meet the needs of all of their stakeholders. And in a fast-changing world, EY gives them the support they need to be effective today, and create long-term value for tomorrow.

Women still remain underrepresented in the Dutch labour market. About half of the women in the Netherlands are not financially independent. That percentage is even higher for women with a refugee background. A large number of these women would like to work, but sometimes it is not easy to make this possible. That is why EY is offering a mentor program for talented women with a refugee background.
