Training class for test specialists

Are you looking to start your journey in the world of IT or further specialize as a tester? Then this training program is for you! In addition to training, Achmea provides practical experience, allowing you to start working as a test specialist in one of the scrum teams within just one month.

What does a Test Specialist do?

As a test specialist, you will:

  • Test new functionalities and create test scripts based on business requirements and designs.
  • Work with system specialists to set up and execute various tests, including unit, system, and user story tests.
  • Organize and facilitate chain tests with external partners and support the business in acceptance testing.
  • Participate in the test community, where you and other test colleagues discuss the latest developments and innovations in the field, such as LPT, security testing, and risk-based testing.

By performing these tasks, you play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of Achmea’s products and contribute to a smooth development process.

What does the training program look like?

Achmea is looking for three new colleagues for the training class starting on June 2, 2025. The program lasts one year, beginning with an intensive one-month training (in-class and on-site). During the remaining 11 months, you will be part of a scrum team at Apeldoorn or Tilburg, where you will continue developing as a test specialist. You will complete the program with an exam for the Practitioner in Agile Quality certification.

Important: Achmea expects you to be fully available for the first four weeks of training.

After successfully completing the program, you will transition into one of the scrum teams.

Salary & Growth: starting salary: €3,210 (scale F). Upon successful completion, you will progress to €3,569 (scale G) after about one year.

Who are you?

  • You are a statusholder.
  • You have a strong affinity and proven passion for IT.
  • You have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree (HBO or equivalent).
  • You speak Dutch at a minimum B2 level.
  • You are available for at least 34 hours per week from June 2025 to June 2026.

  • After registering, you will receive a Google Forms questionnaire to fill out, including:
  • Why do you want to join this training program?
  • Provide an example where you demonstrated teamwork and/or perseverance.
  • If selected, you will be invited to an online assessment on April 10.
  • If you pass the assessment, you will be invited to a selection day on April 17, where you will have two interviews.
  • At the end of the selection day, you will receive immediate feedback on whether you have been selected for the training class.
