Speeddate for Financial IT Engineer SmartStream

Would you like to apply your financial expertise in an environment where finance and technology come together? At ABN AMRO, we are looking for a curious and driven Financial Accounting Specialist who understands complex financial structures and gains energy from working with IT applications. You do not need to be an IT expert yet, but you do need the willingness and motivation to further develop yourself in this area.

Your role

In this role, you will work at the intersection of financial accounting, data, and IT. You will be responsible for translating financial insights into a correct and intelligent configuration of our financial accounting application SmartStream. In doing so, you will make a direct contribution to reliable financial reporting and a robust financial chain.

You will work closely with colleagues from Finance, IT, and Reporting and become part of a close-knit team of 8 professionals, where knowledge sharing, collaboration, and supporting one another are key.

What will you do?

  • Work with and further develop your knowledge of the financial accounting application SmartStream and related reporting
  • Analyse and understand complex financial structures and translate these correctly into system configurations
  • Work with general ledgers and contribute to reliable and insightful financial reporting
  • Use Microsoft SQL to build interfacing, analyse data and perform controls
  • Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team where financial expertise and IT affinity come together

Who are you?

  • You have a valid residence permit or receive temporary EU protection (e.g., for Ukrainians).
  • You have mastered the English language at a B2 level.
  • You have a financial background (e.g. accounting, finance)
  • You have experience with Microsoft SQL. Experience in Microsoft Azure is a plus. Experience in Scrum / Agile way of working is a plus.
  • You have experience with or a strong understanding of complex financial structures
  • You have an affinity with IT and data and are motivated to further develop yourself in this area
  • You work accurately, think analytically, and are not afraid to ask questions
  • You are a team player who enjoys collaborating and sharing knowledge

About the speeddate

Selected candidates will receive an assessment. Based on the results, you may be invited for an interview. To prepare you for the speeddate, a mandatory online prep session will take place by Refugee Talent Hub on 25 May.
