After a successful fourth edition, OchtendMensen and Refugee Talent Hub are organising a new mentoring programme. We are looking for candidates with a refugee background. Would you like to talk with a young professional about the steps you can take in your career? Would you like to expand your network? Then sign up for the new mentoring programme of OchtendMensen.

OchtendMensen has a team of 65 young professionals who work on different projects and programmes. We do this not only in the morning, but always with the energy of a new day.

About the mentoring programme

OchtendMensen offers a professional mentoring programme and is looking for mentees who want to reduce their distance to the labour market and/or would like support in finding a job.

In this mentoring programme, young professionals from OchtendMensen are matched with people with a refugee background for a period of 4 months. During these 4 months, you will work with your mentor on topics such as:

  • Where are you on the Dutch labour market?
  • What are your talents, knowledge, and skills?
  • What do you want to achieve on the Dutch labour market?
  • Which steps do you want to take to reach your goal?

We will also work on practical topics, such as improving your CV, creating a professional LinkedIn profile, and preparing and planning networking meetings to present yourself better on the Dutch labour market.

What do we expect from you?

  • You are enthusiastic and motivated to take steps on the Dutch labour market;
  • You have an open and proactive attitude and want to develop yourself personally and professionally;
  • You have a refugee background and HBO or university level of thinking;
  • You speak Dutch at a minimum B1 level;
  • You are motivated to participate and make time for three live group meetings. You will also have weekly contact with your mentor;
  • You have access to a computer or mobile phone (with camera) and internet, which is sometimes needed for video calls.
