What does a Fullstack Developer do?
As a Fullstack Developer, you are the technical heart of the team and will become the driving force behind a new, small shared service team. This team manages and develops .NET applications for the Claims & Income department at Achmea.In this role, you play a key part in strengthening Achmea’s digital ambitions.
Your main tasks will include:
- Developing, testing and maintaining applications within an agile scrum team.
- Contributing to the architecture and design of new features and applications.
- Working together with the product owner, analysts, team members, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Taking part in code reviews and sharing knowledge to ensure high code quality.
- Proactively thinking along about improvements in processes and technologies.
Who are you?
You enjoy (gradually) taking on a bigger role: you safeguard knowledge, inspire your teammates, and guide nearshore developers. You make sure applications keep running smoothly and continue to improve. Documentation is important; you record and share information so the team can work in a sustainable way. The work will be done partly in Dutch and partly in English.
These aspects are a must have:
- You are a status holder (in possession of a residence permit for the Netherlands) or currently under temporary EU protection (for example, for Ukrainians);
- You have good communication skills in both Dutch and English (B2 level or higher);
- You have experience in backend development, such as .NET 4.8, .NET 6, Entity Framework, and Java;
- You have a strong understanding of databases;
Furthermore, Achmea is looking to meet candidates who have the following experience:
- Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular and TypeScript.
- Knowledge of cloud-native development and on-premises applications.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, including Data Factory, Key Vault, and Synapse.
- The ability to independently write and optimize (complex) queries.
- Experience with stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
- An understanding of the importance of performance tuning and knowledge of how to apply indexing and query analysis for efficient database operation.
