Expand your network on the job market, get guidance from a mentor

After a successful third edition, OchtendMensen and Refugee Talent Hub are organizing a new mentoring program. For this, we are looking for candidates with a refugee background. Do you want to brainstorm with a young professional about which steps you can take in your career? Do you want to expand your network? Then sign up for the new mentoring program of OchtendMensen.

About MorningPeople

 We are OchtendMensen. We bring movement with enthusiasm, with both feet on the ground. We achieve results within the major social themes of today and the future: Education, Care & Health, Energy & Sustainability and Society & Government and City, Nature & Mobility. With a team of 65 young professionals, OchtendMensen participates in various projects and programs. OchtendMensen does this not only in the morning and always with the energy of a new day.

About the mentoring program

 OchtendMensen offers a professional mentoring program and is therefore looking for mentees who would like to reduce their distance to the labor market and/or would like to be helped in the search for a possible job. In the mentoring program, the young professionals of OchtendMensen are linked to people with a refugee background for a period of 4 months. During these 4 months, you and your mentor will work on the following topics:

  •  Where do you stand on the Dutch labor market?
  •  What is your talent, knowledge and skills?
  •  What do you want to achieve on the Dutch labour market? What route do you want to take to get there?

 In addition, we will also work practically, for example by improving your CV, providing guidance in creating a professional LinkedIn page and preparing and planning networking conversations to better present yourself in the Dutch labor market.

What do we expect from you?

  •  Enthusiasm and plenty of energy to take steps in the Dutch labor market;
  •  You have an open, proactive attitude and you want to develop yourself personally and professionally;
  •  You have a refugee background and a higher professional or university education level;
  •  You have a minimum command of the Dutch language at B1 level;
  •  You are motivated to participate. You make time for three live moments with all participants. In addition, you have weekly contact with your mentor;
