Broader network, better future in the job market

After previous successful programs, Refugee Talent Hub and TwynstraGudde are launching a new mentoring program starting September 26, 2025, for a period of four months. During this mentoring program, you will be matched with an advisor/consultant from TwynstraGudde, who will be your mentor for four months. During this period, you and your mentor will work together to increase your chances on the job market.

About TwynstraGudde

TwynstraGudde primarily advises the government on many of today’s major and urgent issues. Think of topics such as safety, diversity, mobility, digitalization, sustainability, energy, finance, and health. TwynstraGudde aims to have a direct impact on (future) societal and economic developments. Diversity and inclusion are important themes at TwynstraGudde, in many different ways. TwynstraGudde strives to ensure that everyone can be themselves, feel at home, and have equal opportunities within the organization.

About the mentoring program

During this mentoring program, you will be paired with a professional from TwynstraGudde, who will be your mentor for four months. During this period, you and your mentor will work together to increase your chances on the job market. Your mentor will share their knowledge, skills, and professional network with you. Additionally, your mentor can offer personal advice and support you with any questions you may have about working in the Netherlands and everything related to it. The mentor is eager to share their experience and knowledge with you. At the same time, the mentor can also learn a lot from you. Equality and reciprocity are important values in this process. Besides career support, the personal meetings offer valuable insights into each other’s cultures, perspectives, and values.

There will be three in-person events and two online check-ins where you’ll learn more about each other, the job market, and TwynstraGudde in particular.

Important dates (mandatory attendance):

  • (In-person) Kick-off: Friday, September 26, 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00 (at Refugee Talent Hub – Boost Amsterdam)
  • First (online) mentee check-in: Friday, October 24, 2025, from 14:00 to 15:00
  • (In-person) Mid-program event: Friday, November 7, 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00 (at TwynstraGudde headquarters, in Amersfoort)
  • Second (online) mentee check-in: Friday, December 12, 2025, from 15:00 to 16:00
  • (In-person) Final event: Friday, January 23, 2026, from 10:00 to 12:30 (at TwynstraGudde headquarters, in Amersfoort)

**Travel expenses will be reimbursed for the in-person activities (kick-off, mid-program event, and final event).

What do we expect from you?

  • You have refugee status or hold a W-document.
  • You have at least B1 level Dutch – You can demonstrate this.
  • You are motivated to participate. You will make time to attend the mandatory activities. In addition, you will meet with your mentor once a week (or at least twice a month).
  • You have an open, proactive attitude, are eager to learn, and are willing to share information with your mentor.
  • You have access to a computer (with a camera) and internet, which is sometimes necessary for video calls.
