Become a Service Technician for Electrical Installations!

Within ISS Technical Services, a position is available for a Service Technician for Electrical Installations in Bergen op Zoom. This role is based within a manufacturing environment for a tobacco manufacturer. Are you interested? Sign up for our speed date event!

About ISS

As a facility services provider, we manage the technical services for various international companies. When you work at one of our locations, you become part of a dedicated account team maintaining building-related installations. Whatever your ambitions are and whoever you are: at ISS, you can be yourself and continue to develop your skills.

As a Service Technician, these are your main tasks:

  • You perform first-line, minor, and preventive maintenance on installations and systems.
  • You conduct comprehensive quality checks, general inspections, and safety inspections.
  • You log completed work in the maintenance management system.
  • You advise the client on potential improvements or replacements for installations and systems.
  • You participate in the standby shifts and are willing to work outside regular working hours in case of emergencies.

Who are you?

You dislike sitting still; you are on your feet all day, tackling new challenges alongside great colleagues. You are open to further self-development. You have a positive attitude, and you work neatly and in accordance with established safety standards. Once everything is installed or completed, you leave your workspace clean and tidy. You are the face of our organization and have a service-oriented mindset. Key qualities include flexibility, independence, and a solution-oriented way of thinking.

What do we ask of you?

  • You possess a valid status/work permit.
  • You have completed an electrical engineering education or have relevant experience in electrical engineering.
  • You speak fluent English and wish to learn Dutch (level B1 is a plus).
  • You live in the Bergen op Zoom area, with a maximum commute time of 30 minutes.
  • You have good communication skills.

About the Speed Date

Have you been selected for the speed date? Then you will get to know ISS on Wednesday, August 26. During the speed date, you will receive more information about ISS and the role of Service Technician for Electrical Installations. If there is a mutual match after this initial meeting, a second interview will follow.

To help you prepare for the Speed Date, the Refugee Talent Hub is organizing a mandatory online preparation session on Friday, August 21.

Important Information:

  • Mandatory online prep session: Friday, August 21, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
  • Speed date event: Takes place live on Wednesday, August 26, in Bergen op Zoom.
  • Follow-up interviews: Will take place on Friday, August 28 (for those invited to a second interview).

On Thursday, July 30, you will receive a questionnaire asking for more details about your motivation and experience. The selection for the speed date will be based on this questionnaire.

You will hear whether you have been selected for the speed date by Friday, August 14 at the latest.

Note on travel expenses: Your public transport travel expenses to the speed date will be reimbursed. Please note that we only reimburse costs incurred on the day of the event for travel from your home to the activity and back. Please read our travel expense policy carefully.
