What will you do?

• You prepare dishes for lunch and dinner.
• You work with a standard and extensive product range.
• You ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of all dishes.
• You work strictly according to hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP).
• You monitor the kitchen environment and maintain a clean workspace.
• You collaborate closely with your kitchen colleagues.

Who are you?

You have a passion for cooking and love working in a team. You have at least 2 years of experience as a chef and are able to work fully independently after about a month of onboarding. You enjoy developing your skills in both cooking and hospitality.

What we ask of you

• You hold a valid residence status/work permit for the Netherlands.
• You speak Dutch at a minimum of A2 level and are motivated to further improve your language skills within your first year in this role.
• You live within a maximum 30-minute commute (by car or public transport) from Erasmus MC.
• You are flexible with your working hours from Monday to Friday, and occasionally on weekends. Most shifts are scheduled between 06:30 AM and 03:30 PM, though you will sometimes work evening shifts until 09:00 PM.

About the Speed Date

Have you been selected for a speed date? Then you will get to know ISS on Tuesday, August 25. During this meeting, you will receive more information about ISS and the role of independent chef. If there is a mutual match after this introduction, a second interview will follow.

To help you prepare, the Refugee Talent Hub is organizing a mandatory online preparation session on Friday, August 21.

• Mandatory online prep session: Friday, August 21, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
• Live speed date event: Tuesday, August 25, in Rotterdam.

On Friday, July 31, you will receive a questionnaire asking about your motivation and experience. The selection for the speed date will be based on your answers. You will hear whether you have been selected for the speed date by Monday, August 17 at the latest.

Public transport (OV) costs for attending the speed date will be reimbursed. Please note that we only cover costs incurred on the day of the event for travel directly from your home to the venue and back. Please read our travel expense policy carefully.
