Would you like to work in a unique and important location in Rotterdam? At Erasmus MC, one of the largest hospitals in the Netherlands, you will work in Lunchroom Dok 10. Together with your colleagues, you will provide food and drinks for visitors, patients, and staff.
You will work in a welcoming environment where every day is different. You will help people, create a pleasant atmosphere, and keep the restaurant clean and tidy. Experience is not required; we are happy to teach you the trade.
About ISS
ISS Facility Services is one of the largest and most well-known facility service providers. They handle everything related to building care, management, and the people who work there. Food & Catering is one of their core pillars. They run company restaurants, coffee bars, and provide catering in offices, hospitals, and schools.
You will be based at the Erasmus MC location and become part of the catering team. Whatever your ambitions and whoever you are: at ISS, you can be yourself and continue to develop your skills.
What will you do?
- You help guests in a friendly manner.
- You prepare sandwiches, salads, and lunch dishes.
- You serve food and drinks.
- You ensure the restaurant remains clean and tidy.
- You work according to hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP).
- You work together with your colleagues.

Who are you?
You have an open attitude and enjoy working with people. You are flexible and able to work a rotating schedule. You are excited about developing yourself in the field of catering and hospitality. Hospitality experience is a plus, but not required.
What we ask of you
- You hold a valid status/work permit.
- You speak Dutch at a minimum of A2 level and want to further improve your Dutch within 1 year in this role.
- You live a maximum of 30 minutes' drive from Erasmus MC.
- You are available on weekdays Monday through Sunday (rotating schedule) and during working hours between 6:30 AM and 7:30 PM.
About the Speed Date
Have you been selected for a speed date? Then you will get to know ISS on Tuesday 25th of August. During the speed date, you will receive more information about ISS and the role of a catering assistant. If there is a mutual match after this introduction, a second interview will follow.
To help you prepare for the speed date, the Refugee Talent Hub is organizing a mandatory online preparation session on Friday, August 21.
Important Information:
- Mandatory Online Prep Session: Friday, August 21, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
- Live Speed Date: Tuesday, August 25, in Rotterdam.
Are you interested and do you meet the requirements?
- Apply quickly! You can apply up to and including Thursday, July 30. Don't forget to upload your CV.
- On Thursday, July 30, you will receive a questionnaire asking about your motivation and experience. Selection for the speed date will be based on this questionnaire.
- You will hear whether you have been selected for the speed date by Monday, August 17 at the latest.
- Your public transport (OV) travel expenses to the speed date will be reimbursed. Please note that we only reimburse costs incurred on the day itself for travel from your home to the activity and back. Read our travel expense policy carefully.
