BBL Trainee Field Technician
Do you want to contribute to the energy transition? Are you curious about the opportunities within the energy sector? Do you have experience with technology and want to develop your skills further? Then we are looking for you!
Why the energy sector?
The energy transition is moving fast. The Netherlands needs smart, motivated people to help build a green future. Whether you already have a technical background or are simply looking for a new challenge, Energy Skills offers you the opportunity to learn and work with us!
Your Role
As a Trainee Field Technician, you will work on keeping the energy network reliable by installing, maintaining, and replacing cables. During a preparatory phase, you will follow a 3 to 4-day training program where you will gain essential knowledge about water, electricity, and gas pipelines. After this, you will enter the field (5 days a week) and shadow an experienced technician. Over time, you will work increasingly independently.
Who are you?
- You have an interest in technology, enjoy working with your hands, and love learning new things.
- You enjoy working outdoors and are physically fit.
- You are currently receiving social security benefits (you will keep your benefits during the training; once you start working, you will receive a salary).
- Your Dutch language level is B1 or higher.
- You hold a valid residency permit or receive temporary EU protection (such as Ukrainians).
- Preferably, you hold a valid Dutch driver’s license.
- You live in the Brabant or North Limburg region.
- Previous volunteer work in a technical field is a plus.
