About the Arcadis Talent Academy
The Arcadis Talent Academy is a six-month programme specifically designed to support talented professionals with a refugee background. During this programme, you will have the opportunity to:

•  Develop your skills and gain practical work experience within the innovative environment of Arcadis;
•  Actively participate in real projects, together with experienced colleagues;
•  Expand your network within the Dutch labour market;
•  Further develop your soft skills and Dutch language proficiency.

After finishing the programme, we will look together at opportunities for you to join Arcadis in a paid position.
You will also receive personalised guidance from an Arcadis buddy, a team leader or manager, and an external mentor from New Dutch Connections. A dedicated Arcadis team will support your smooth integration into our company.

Available roles
1. Architecture: Architect or Urban Planner
In this role, you'll work on designs and plans that directly contribute to the development of sustainable and innovative projects. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to realise creative solutions.

•  Activities: Architectural drawings, visualisations, and communication with stakeholders.
•  Requirements: Master's/Bachelor's degree in construction, architecture, or urban planning; experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite; willingness to work in Amersfoort.

2. Structural Design: Constructor
In this role, you work on the structural aspects of buildings, collaborating closely with other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.

• Activities: Solving structural engineering challenges within (multidisciplinary) projects.
• Requirements: Master's degree in civil engineering or construction; knowledge of parametric design, BIM and Eurocode.

3. Physical Safety: Safety Professional
In this role, you will work with various teams to design and implement safe and future-proof infrastructure, buildings, and environments.

• Activities: Safety issues in various domains, such as fire prevention, crisis management, environmental safety, railway safety, safety management and culture.
• Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field; affinity for physical safety and risk management; minimum B1+ Dutch language proficiency.

4. Project Management: Project Support
In this role, you will play a crucial supporting role within projects, helping to ensure that processes run smoothly and contributing to the achievement of project objectives.

• Activities: Supporting project management for infrastructure, architecture, and construction projects, with a focus on finance, planning, risk management, quality management, information management, or capacity management.
• Requirements: Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or business administration; experience in one of the mentioned specializations; and an interest in project management.

What do we expect from you:

• Valid residence permit: You must be in possession of a valid residence permit.
• Language proficiency: Proficiency in both English (minimum B2 level) and Dutch (minimum A2 level) is required for effective oral and written communication. Alternatively, English at A2 level and Dutch at B2 level are also acceptable.
• Education level: The ability to work and think at Bachelor's (HBO) or Master's (WO) level is essential.
• Willingness to travel: You are willing to travel by train to one of our locations (Amersfoort, Rotterdam, Zwolle, or 's-Hertogenbosch). The costs for public transport will be covered.
• Relevant experience: Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering & Management, Architecture, Urban Development or risk assessment in infrastructure or environmental risks is desirable.
• Personal qualities: We prefer candidates who are results-oriented and proactive team players.
