A Good Start – Job pathway for production professionals in Broek op Langedijk

Are you a professional with a refugee background and are you looking for a job in production? The operations team of the Lay’s and Cheetos factory (part of PepsiCo) would like to meet you!

Position: Production Employee (Line Supply)

In this position, you work in the factory and, together with colleagues, make sure the production process continues to run smoothly. You learn how to operate, check and clean machines and contribute to making well-known products.

You work in a 3-shift system. This means you work alternately in:

  • Morning shift 07:00-15:00
  • Afternoon/evening shift 15:00-23:00
  • Night shift 23:00-07:00

What do we offer you?

Work experience in an international production environment
Guidance from a buddy on the work floor
Dutch professional language lessons on location
A monthly salary with shift allowance
A temporary position in which you gain work experience and further develop yourself
Contract and perspective:

You start with a temporary contract. During this period, you gain work experience in production. In total, you can receive up to a maximum of three temporary contracts. The programme is intended as a stepping stone to a next job inside or outside PepsiCo. Afterwards, there may be opportunities to move on to another role within the supply chain, such as General Support Operator or Process/Packaging Operator.

What do we ask of you?

  • You have a valid refugee status or fall under the Temporary Protection Directive (for Ukrainians).
  • Motivation to work in production
  • You are physically able to do standing work and be active during the working day
  • You can work in a production environment where pace and cooperation are important
  • Willingness to work in shifts (including night and morning shifts)
  • You speak Dutch (language level A2). If your Dutch is not yet at that level, your English is fluent enough to communicate and meet internal safety requirements.
  • You have your own transport or live near Broek op Langedijk - in any case, you are able to start the morning shift at 6:45, when there are no buses yet to the factory
  • The wish to learn and develop yourself

Via our website. If you are selected for the next step, we will invite you to a mini-speeddate on 18 September at the factory in Broek op Langedijk. Here you will meet the team and receive more information about PepsiCo and the position.

If there is a match from both sides after the introduction, you will start with Een Mooi Begin!
To prepare you for this mini-speeddate, Refugee Talent Hub organizes a mandatory online or telephone preparation session.

Important dates:

  • Preparation session: 9 September
  • Mini-speeddate: 18 September in Broek op Langedijk
  • Selection date: You will hear by 19 September at the latest whether you have been selected for Een Mooi Begin
  • Start date on the work floor: 1 October in Broek op Langedijk
