Technical Support on the Road

Are you someone who likes to delve into technical issues and enjoys helping people with breakdowns?

Our partner ANWB is looking for people to work as Basic Roadside Assistance.

When you say ANWB, you also say Roadside Assistance. The ANWB Roadside Assistance resolves 1,250,000 issues per year. Daily, roadside assistance providers are ready throughout the Netherlands to help ANWB members with starting cars, replacing batteries or tires, repairing alternators, and many other technical problems. You will be one of nearly 1,000 roadside assistance workers in the Netherlands and are often on the road yourself! After an intensive coaching period, you will work independently. Of course, your regional team will also be there at your fixed home base, where you park your car and meet your colleagues by the coffee machine.

Basic Roadside Assistance

General tasks + working hours:

  • Testing and replacing batteries
  • Changing tires
  • Assisting ANWB members who have locked their keys in the car
  • You work in shifts between 07:00 and 22:00 during the most common breakdown times. This means you will work day and evening shifts, but also half of all weekends and holidays.

What does the program consist of?

  • You get a one-year contract with the possibility of extension
  • During the first two months, you will be assigned a fixed buddy who will support you in your work
  • If necessary, you will follow a customized language training course to improve your Dutch
  • Extensive (technical) training: First Aid, EV certification, REVI, and communication
  • In addition to good employment conditions, you will receive a mobile phone and a reimbursement (€106 net per month) for work-related expenses.

This is what we ask of you:

  • You speak Dutch at B1 level and are eager to improve
  • You have your Dutch driving license
  • You have a passion for technology, which is reflected in your resume through previous work experience or hobbies
  • You live within a maximum distance of 40 km from Amsterdam, Utrecht, Breda, or Eindhoven
  • Working in shifts, weekends, and holidays is not an issue (total 38 hours per week)
  • You enjoy helping people; sometimes emotions are involved. You are understanding but also clear about what you can and cannot do.
  • You are eager to keep learning: technology and social skills are constantly evolving.

What you need to know:

  • The speed date is on November 21st from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
  • There is a mandatory online preparation session on November 7th from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
  • After the speed date, if both you and ANWB are excited, you will participate in a morning or afternoon ride-along, followed by an interview
  • Travel costs for the speed date will be reimbursed.
