About the Mentorship Program

Sweco offers a mentorship program, primarily for individuals with a technical background. During this four-month program, Sweco professionals are paired with participants, providing guidance as you navigate the technical job market. Your mentor will offer practical advice and open their professional network to you. This one-on-one support includes:

  • Setting career goals and objectives for the program
  • Creating or improving your CV
  • Building a professional LinkedIn profile to enhance your visibility in the Dutch job market
  • Preparing for job applications through interview practice and understanding next steps in the process
  • Developing networking skills and growing your professional network

 ** Please note: the program focuses on your development and network, not on a direct job at Sweco.

What We Expect from You

  • You have a refugee background and a technical background
  • You are actively seeking a job in the technical sector and want support
  • Your Dutch or English is proficient enough to participate in this program
  • You are available from November 7 to attend meetings with your mentor, check-ins, and workshops
  • You will participate in both online and in-person events (see Important Dates)
  • Your CV is registered in our database
  • You are motivated and enthusiastic about making the most of this mentorship opportunity

Important Dates

  • Kick-off (in-person): November 7, 14:00 - 17:00 at Sweco, Rotterdam
  • First check-in (online): December 3, 13:00 - 14:00 (share experiences and ask questions to the Refugee Talent Hub)
  • Job application skills (in-person): December 10, 10:30 - 13:00, followed by a lunch and learn session at Sweco, De Bilt
  • Second check-in (online): January 16, 13:00 - 14:00
  • Closing event (in-person): February 11, 2025, 14:00 - 17:00 at Sweco, Rotterdam or De Bilt
    Travel costs for in-person events will be reimbursed based on mileage.
