Deloitte Speeddate session: Consultant Indirect Tax Compliance & Technology
About the speeddate session
On Thursday the 28th of April 2022, 15.30-17.00, Deloitte is organizing together with the Refugee Talent Hub a speeddate session for Direct Tax Technology Consultants. During the speeddate session of you will meet with hiring managers and recruiters from Deloitte. The goal is a paid job at Deloitte! You will also be prepared for this session on Monday 25th of April, 15.30-17.00. During this preparation session of 25th of April, you will receive tips & tricks to increase your chances on succeeding the interviews with the hiring managers.
Role description
As a Consultant Indirect Tax Compliance & Technology, you will be the point of contact between our Indirect Tax Compliance clients, our off-shore data processing teams and our VAT and Global Trade consultancy. You are responsible for the communication with the preparation team. You check the quality of the data (GL, VAT ledgers, tax reports, etc) and process and include these in the correct tax reports and in knowledge of the tax flows. You will do this by using automated analysis and reporting tools. With the reports and insights that you generate, you will provide the Deloitte Tax Consultancy team with the insights that they need to advise their clients of the best tax management choices and strategies.
In addition, you will occupy yourself with the onboarding of new clients. You will assess the adjustments that will need to be made to properly place them in our Tax platform. You will also contribute to the acquisition of new clients.

Aiding the client in preparation work

Designing and developing data sets for the data processing team

Conducting quantitative and qualitative research (generally through an automated system)

Review draft reports from the data processing team

Publish reports and share recommendations with management

Assess and improve the declarations processes

Identify VAT issues

Draft RFP’s

Collect and organize relevant data (for the client)

Check data for accuracy

You have a status or a W-document

The other requirements for the role of Consultant Indirect Tax Compliance & Technology are:

At least a higher education degree in tax law or fiscal economy
-
After completing your studies, ideally gained work experience in a similar function
-
An excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written
-
Strong analytical skills and you are eager to learn, ambitious, and client oriented
-
You have knowledge of relevant statistical analysis methods and you can work well with computer programs such as Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language) is also preferred

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle
-
A commercial attitude and you have good communication skills.
